Total Program Hours: 220 Program Pre-requisites: Open to body workers, healers, psychotherapists, all health care professionals and those in training. It establishes a basic awareness of the somatic experience as a means to personal transformation. Understand origins of grief, depression and anxiety, chronic pain and disease processes. Learn empowered recovery skills for PTSD and trauma. Explore the wheel of healing, the wheel of suffering and the potential for unearthing joy in the body. Therapeutic relationships, eye contact, presence and languaging will be covered. Trust, confidentiality and honoring different belief systems. Professional ethics. Interpreting body language. Tracking skills. Cultivating therapeutic resonance and compassion. Treatment Protocol - 24 HoursJune 5-7, 2009Fri, Sat & Sun 9 am-6 pm Client intake procedures defined and modeled. Establishing agreements/intent. Learn to work with dissociation and titration. Self-protection/self-care. Explore somatic transference and vicarious traumatization. Choice points and empowerment. Skills for breathwork, soundwork and movement. Psychological disorders/medications are explored. Unwind psycho-somatic implications. Energy Medicine - 24 HoursJuly 10-12, 2009Fri, Sat & Sun 9 am-6 pm Explore the chakra system. Identify core issues. Chronic pain pathologies and disease cycles will be discussed. The therapeutic use of essential oils/plant world is highlighted. Emotional release and working with anger. Use of mineral/crystal world for transforming energy. Develop energy handling techniques. Integration - 24 HoursAugust 14-16, 2009Fri, Sat & Sun 9 am-6 pm Learn about the different memories and associated somatic filters and coping skills. Learn to integrate dreamwork and symbology, along with exploring personal and cultural myths. Advanced soundwork, movement and breath. Working with severely traumatized clients. Generational cycles. Skills for working with children/inner child. Reconstruction of self/upper limits. Creating independence. Client affirmations, journaling and homework. Resourcing. Trusting the body and advanced tracking skills. Reconciliation - 24 HoursSeptember 11-13, 2009Fri, Sat & Sun 9 am-6 pm Explore spiritual ethics and sacred law. Break contracts and exit from cycles of suffering. Timelines, spiritual dimensions and karma VS dharma. Heal for seven generations. Therapeutic use of prayer, meditation and ceremony will be incorporated. Animal totems. Navigating in the spirit world and calling in your ancestors. Differentiate between physical, subtle, emotional and spiritual healing. Completion - 24 HoursOctober 16-18, 2009Fri, Sat & Sun 9 am-6 pm Learn to market, advertise and create your own brochure. Network with other health care professionals. Somatic based meditations for maneuvering in your personal space. Share final project/paper. Final hands-on evaluation with instructor. Design ceremony as co-creative energy of the mystery. Group healing and clearing. Receive diploma. Externship - 44 HoursHands-on somatic sessions with 4 approved clients. The 11 hours with each client must be documented and include: 2 hour intake and 9 hours in session (Six ninety minute sessions).Personal Support - 16 HoursThis time is spent receiving feedback, counseling or somatic therapy for personal reflection and self-care.
